Current LED main heat dissipation technology brief

1) Aluminum extrusion technology

The commonly used aluminum extrusion material is AL6063, which has good thermal conductivity (about 200 W/mK) and processability.
Advantages and disadvantages: easy to process, low cost and mature technology. The disadvantage is that the installation is limited and easy to deform.
Note: Aluminum that has not been oxidized is naturally corroded, resulting in a decrease in thermal conductivity.

2) Aluminum die casting technology

The commonly used die-casting aluminum alloy is ADC12, which is suitable for thin castings, but has poor thermal conductivity (about 96 W/mK).
Advantages and Disadvantages: It can be integrated with no gap design and has good waterproof effect. The disadvantage is that the mold cost is high, the heat dissipation effect is general, and the lamp body is relatively bulky.

3) Heat pipe technology

Generally, it is in the form of a heat pipe and a fin piece. Fin sheet material is generally AA1050 (AL, about 200 W / mK) or c1100 (cu, about 400 W / mK), the heat pipe material structure is complex, with almost perfect thermal conductivity (about 80,000 ~ 110000 W / mK).
Advantages and disadvantages: good heat dissipation and light weight. The disadvantage is that there are certain requirements for space, and it cannot withstand large impacts and costs are high.
